The ROSARY In October: those who recite five decades of the Rosary may gain a plenary indulgence daily; in other circumstances a partial indulgence. A partial indulgence may be obtained daily by reciting the Litany of Loreto and the Prayer to Saint Joseph. Rosary every day before 10am Mass.

BLESSING OF GRAVES AT BANDON HILL CEMETERY

This will take place on Sunday 09th November 2025 at 3.00 pm. There will be a short service outside the chapel.Following it, clergy will be available to bless individual graves of any relatives or friends of parishioners who are buried there . Those who visit a cemetery between 1st and 8th November and pray for the faithful departed may obtain a plenary indulgence applicable to the holy souls.

Forms are available on the table in the porch. Please note that the Confirmation program is for candidates of Year 10 and above. Please pray for our candidates and catechists. The registration fee is £20.

Children’s Liturgy Group – Sunday 9.30 am Mass

The Children’s Liturgy Group is taking a break for the half term holidays, and will resume on 9th Nov 2025.

Thinking of becoming a Catholic?

Journey in Faith 2025 – 2026 (Rite of Christian Initiation for Adults)

This process prepares adults who are seeking to be received into the Catholic Church. It invites people to deepen their knowledge of Jesus and their relationship with Him. We look in detail at the sacramental life and prepare those who decide to become Catholics to receive the sacraments of initiation (Baptism, Confirmation and Holy Communion) .

A Day With Mary – Holy Cross – 22nd November

This year we are hosting for the first time A Day With Mary.

Parish Quiz Night: Friday 7th November-7 p.m

You are welcome to test your knowledge at the Holy Cross Quiz Night .

Entry is only £2 with prizes for the winners.

Bring your own refreshments but tea and coffee will be provided at the interval. Come along to join teams of six to eight people. Email the Parish office if you want to reserve a table or contact Alex: faircloth@hotmail.co.uk

Holy Cross Baby and Toddler Group – 3rd November

We urgently need more volunteers to run this important group.

Since 2022, the Holy Cross Playgroup has been a valuable asset for many families in our Parish and the surrounding area.

We urgently need volunteers to lead or support the playgroup. Without the required number of volunteers. Please contact the Parish Office at carshalton@rcaos.org.uk as soon as possible if you are able to volunteer.

Deanery Meeting- Saturday 1st November,11:00am to 1:00pm

The Autumn meeting of the Sutton Deanery will be held at St Elphege’s Church Hall  (Parish Mass at 10am) . The new version of the Bishop’s document, “Love the Stranger” suitable for Schools, Youth Groups, Parents and Parish Groups will be introduced by Victoria Firth from the Jesuit Refugee Service. Car parking available & Buses 157 &154 stop outside the Church.

CHRISTMAS CONCERT at St. Cecilias Church – Sunday 14th December 

As part of the Christmas celebrations for our community, we will be holding a  Concert at St. Cecilias Church . We are inviting choir groups from some of the local schools and churches to take part in  this celebration and we would be honoured if your Church Choir  would join us and perform 2/3 songs of their choice .  These can be from any genre of music – not confined to hymns/Christmas Carols – in fact the greater the variety of music the better !!

The concert will start at 5 p.m. and finish at 6.30 p.m. followed by refreshments.

Dolce Sei

A concert at All Saints’ next month. Dolce Sei is a chamber choir of now ex Lincoln University music students, including Ceridwen. Much of the music will fit the theme of Remembrance (it’s the Saturday after 11 November). As usual for All Saints’, there will be a bar during the interval. Tickets are available through the website, or on the door.
