The ROSARY In October: those who recite five decades of the Rosary may gain a plenary indulgence daily; in other circumstances a partial indulgence. A partial indulgence may be obtained daily by reciting the Litany of Loreto and the Prayer to Saint Joseph. Rosary every day before 10am Mass.

Second Collection this Weekend For Missio ( World Mission Sunday)

A second collection will take place to show our support of the missionaries and faith communities  facing hardship for example, Sister Regina in Myanmar. One of the inspiring aspects of World Mission Sunday is that every parish around the world prays for, and financially supports, our global Church. Donations are large or small depending on individual circumstances but we stand in solidarity.

Thinking of becoming a Catholic?

Journey in Faith 2025 – 2026 (Rite of Christian Initiation for Adults)

This process prepares adults who are seeking to be received into the Catholic Church. It invites people to deepen their knowledge of Jesus and their relationship with Him. We look in detail at the sacramental life and prepare those who decide to become Catholics to receive the sacraments of initiation (Baptism, Confirmation and Holy Communion) .

Youth Group Mass(12-17y)  Sunday 19th Oct.

We have our Youth Group Mass at 11am. Please join us after in the hall.This coming session there will a selection of pizzas and salad for lunch This will be followed by a team faith-based treasure hunt.

Holy Cross Baby and Toddler Group

We urgently need more volunteers to run this important group.

Since 2022, the Holy Cross Playgroup has been a valuable asset for many families in our Parish and the surrounding area.

We urgently need volunteers to lead or support the playgroup. Without the required number of volunteers (with the necessary DBS clearance), we will unfortunately have to suspend the group. Please contact the Parish Office at carshalton@rcaos.org.uk as soon as possible if you are able to volunteer.

Deanery Meeting Saturday 1st November,11:00am to 1:00pm

The Autumn meeting of the Sutton Deanery will be held at St Elphege’s Church Hall  (Parish Mass at 10am) . The new version of the Bishop’s document, “Love the Stranger” suitable for Schools, Youth Groups, Parents and Parish Groups will be introduced by Victoria Firth from the Jesuit Refugee Service. Car parking available & Buses 157 &154 stop outside the Church.

Calling All Married Couples

The Southwark diocesan Marriage and Family life team are seeking married couples who are practising Catholics to join their growing team to present courses for Marriage Preparation, Building a Better Marriage and other initiatives in 2026. Salary: £30,000 pro rata (£7,000) per annum for the couple. Mileage paid in addition. All training given. Stop Assisted Suicide – Further Action Needed!

Sending a physical letter carries particular weight with Members of the House of Lords. Right To Life UK has created a simple tool that generates personalised letters to Peers, each focused on a specific area of concern. You can then print them, or copy them out by hand, sign, and post them.

Please take action now and visit www.righttolife.org.uk/aspeersletter to send a letter to Peers asking them to oppose assisted suicide.
