COURSE DESCRIPTION
In our parish, the team of catechists works alongside parents – who play a key role in preparing their children for the first celebration of these two joyous sacraments.
Working in partnership, we prepare children to celebrate Reconciliation and receive the Eucharist with understanding and reverence, fostering a lifelong relationship with Jesus Christ. We blend doctrinal teaching with practical learning, for example:
- Why do we genuflect?
- How can I pray at home?
- What happens at Mass?
Classes are held weekly during term time, and parents are actively involved in each session: this enriches their child’s journey and facilitates ongoing discussion and reinforcement at home.
