Thinking of becoming a Catholic?

Journey in Faith 2025 – 2026 (Rite of Christian Initiation for Adults)

This process prepares adults who are seeking to be received into the Catholic Church. It invites people to deepen their knowledge of Jesus and their relationship with Him. Weekly sessions take people through the key teachings of the Catholic faith and the issues facing Catholics in today’s world. We look in detail at the sacramental life and prepare those who decide to become Catholics to receive the sacraments of initiation (Baptism, Confirmation and Holy Communion) .

Other parishioners who would like to join us and perhaps refresh their own faith are also very welcome. Sessions take place every THURSDAY at 7:30 pm in the parish centre. If you are interested, please contact the RCIA co-ordinator, Kathy Ball, via the contact form on the parish website or emaiI: edmsutton@rcaos.org.uk

Youth Group Mass(12-17y)  : Thank you

Sparks of Light – Saturday, 18th October, 10:30am – 3:30pm,

An event that enables others to encounter Jesus Christ in and through his Church; supported by the Agency for Evangelisation and Catechesis.

Are you interested in reaching out to others, beyond the walls of the church? Then this day is for you. It simply involves an invitation to enter a Catholic Church, to light a candle for a loved one, to chat with a team of friendly volunteers, or to just experience the peace of the Church.  Input will be provided by Maria Heath, Director of Mission Northampton, and you will have the opportunity to share the love of Christ in practical ways. St Elphege’s Church, Wallington, SM6 9AY

World Mission Sunday

This global event will be celebrated on 19th October. At Holy Cross, a second collection will take place to show our support of the missionaries and faith communities  facing hardship for example, Sister Regina in Myanmar. One of the inspiring aspects of World Mission Sunday is that every parish around the world prays for, and financially supports, our global Church. Donations are large or small depending on individual circumstances but we stand in solidarity.
