The Novena begins on Friday 30th May and continues until Saturday 7th June 2025. Join us before 10am Mass weekdays & at 6.15pm for the last day On Saturday before Mass.
Second Collection This Weekend for World Communications Day
This collection supports the work of the Catholic Communications Network (CCN), the media office of the Bishops’ Conference of England and Wales.
Next Sunday is Pentecost Sunday.
A Day of prayer for the Church- Solemnity.
Day for Life
Every year the Church in England, Wales, Scotland, and Ireland marks the Day for Life, as a reminder of the need to respect and protect the inherent value and dignity of each life. This year it will be celebrated on 15th June, Trinity Sunday.

We wish to commence young adults groups within the parish community to encourage participation of our young people in the parish life and support their spiritual growth. Please keep an eye for the dates.

Pentecost Prayer & Praise Service – Wednesday 4th June, 7:30pm, followed by refreshments in the hall. This is an opportunity for us to come together as a parish, to give thanks for all that the Lord has done for us, for the gifts he has given us and for the love and mercy he pours out on us. Through praise in song and reflection on short scripture readings, we will pray for an increase of the power of the Holy Spirit in our lives as we prepare our hearts for the great feast of Pentecost. Everyone welcome.

We are so privileged to serve as Extra-ordinary Ministers of Holy Communion. We are called to gather together in our Parish for an evening of reflection.This will be in preparation for renewal of Commitment at each Mass of weekend 21/22 June.

Fr Luke’s Pilgrimage To Hosanna House – Lourdes
This Jubilee Year 2025, we travel by Ryanair fom Stansted on Sat. 30 August and return on Sat. 6 September. The cost per person is £1200, maximum (depending on numbers, may be less with larger numbers of pilgrims). Thank you Fr Luke.

Relic of Blessed Carlo Acutis
St George’s Cathedral will be visited by a relic of Blessed Carlo Acutis from Thursday 26 June to Saturday 28 June. An exhibition will also be on display at the Cathedral from 19 June to 7 July. Visit: stgeorgescathedral.org.uk
Certificate Program in Youth Ministry Studies!
With a mixture of in-person and online training, this course makes it more convenient than ever for parish youth leaders to equip themselves for ministry.
Based on the survey results, we are offering a hybrid model of both in-person and online learning. EQSaints’ Youth Ministry Formation training method is to train cohorts, not just individuals. In this way, you are able to build community and networks of support throughout the formation process. The training includes an orienting in-person weekend and online learning at one’s own pace.

Legacy of Pope Francis: Georgetown dialogues
Over two days in Rome this June, Catholic clergy, prominent novelists and thinkers of the 21st century will meet for a series of conversations examining the legacy of one of Pope Francis’s key concerns, that of “human fraternity, and how to advance it in a divided world.” The event takes place Monday 9 – Tuesday 10 June at the historic Villa Malta in central Rome.
