The Children’s Liturgy takes place during the Celebration of the Word at the Sunday 9.30 am Mass within term time. The sessions are based on The Complete Children’s Liturgy Book by Katie Thompson. Through songs, prayers, discussions and other age-appropriate activities, the Liturgy of the Word is adapted to make it relevant to young children and enable them to participate in the Eucharistic celebration at their own level.

Our vision is for the children to take on as big and as active a role in the Children’s Liturgy as they are able to: older children may join as “junior volunteers” with the ultimate goal of leading the songs, prayers or the sessions themselves.
