Project 1 For Holy Cross to team up with six Carshalton churches to provide supervised accommodation in Centre one night a week for 7 weeks, starting early January, for 10 homeless people. Some help, + feelings welcomed.
Project 2 In this Year of Scripture (for Catholics and Scripture Union) to meet, say, after Tuesday Adoration, to explore Bible. Suggested: either Old Testament (their lives, times, message, etc); or Gospel Readings for Sundays in 2020 (= Year of Matthew); or properly discover St Paul. Opinions welcomed.

Holy Cross Altar Servers Any child who has made his/her First Communion and wishes to learn how to assist at Mass should complete a form (to be found in the sacristy). The next period of training began with a meeting on Friday afternoon after school, 3.30pm, in the church, 4th October. Then, new servers will need to attend Mass on Saturdays.

Archbishop Peter A Mass of thanksgiving for his service to Southwark will be celebrated at the Cathedral, Saturday November 16th, 12.30, followed by a reception. All welcome. A retiring collection will be made here next weekend for him (and also a share for the Vicar General who celebrates his silver jubilee).
