It meets fortnightly to read through scripture from the new testament and to discuss the meaning and impact for us living in today\u2019s world. There is also time for intercessionary prayers. \u00a0The group meetings will be over Zoom. If you are interested in joining, \u00a0<em>please use the contact page and someone will get back to you.<\/em><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;-<\/p>\n<p><strong>The\u00a0 Catenians<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The Catenians are an association of Catholic laymen who are committed to their Faith, their families, to those in need and to each other.\u00a0 Our primary purpose is to establish a network of friends, which enhances their family life, strengthens their Faith and sustains them in difficult times.\u00a0 We support each other, the Church, young people and those in need.\u00a0 Our friendships are developed by meeting together on a monthly basis for prayer and social interaction and at a var<span style=\"font-size: revert;\">iety of social events throughout the year that bring together our families, widows and friends. The Sutton mid-Surrey Circle was founded in 1919 at the Church of Our Lady of the Rosary in Sutton and includes parishes in Sutton and Surrey.\u00a0 We gather at Surrey Downs Golf Club on the first Tuesday of every month for a meeting at 19.30hrs, followed by dinner.\u00a0 Anyone interested in knowing more, please contact either Adrian Mann or Andrew Theobald through the Contact Form on the Parish Website or visit: <\/span><a style=\"font-size: revert;\" href=\"https:\/\/www.thecatenians.com\/\">https:\/\/www.thecatenians.com\/<\/a><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;-<\/p>\n<p><strong>Holy Cross Lunch Club<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>All are invited to join us for lunch after 12 o\u2019clock Mass on the 2<sup>nd<\/sup> and 4<sup>th<\/sup> Friday of every month. We share a simple meal of homemade soup and bread followed by a delicious dessert with tea or coffee provided too. On the other Fridays of the month tea and coffee only are served.<\/p>\n<p>During the week on Tuesdays and Thursdays after the 10 a.m. mass, we invite you to the Parish Centre for tea, coffee and refreshments.<\/p>\n<p>There is no charge but donations are welcome as the proceeds go to Father Desi\u2019s School in Uganda which has approximately 260 pupils. This year funds are being raised to provide new accommodation for the girls.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8211;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Sutton Food Bank<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>For some time, Holy Cross Parish has collected food items for the Sutton Food Bank which has four distribution Centres in the borough.\u00a0 People in need are referred to a Food Bank and are provided with an emergency three day supply of food. Help and advice is also given to lift people out of poverty. Unfortunately, the need for food aid has grown in the UK in recent years.<\/p>\n<p>Place your donations in the big box in the Church Porch which is collected every week by parish volunteers for delivery to the Warehouse in Sutton.
