Fr Paul Conrad Sanders (BA) was not just our local RC Priest but someone we got to know personally due to his amicable kindness, gentleness and caring being well respected and loved. Never has one been able to establish a great bond with any RC priest as occurred with Fr. Paul Sanders (BA). He went out of his way to help everyone from the gifts we donated to him for the Women’s Prison at Christmas and in our partnership with him in helping Fr. Jimmy Okure in Uganda financially. I enjoyed helping him on numerous occasions to fix the Photocopying Machine. He always aimed to please and am forever grateful for all Masses he approved for our deceased. His LOVE & WELCOME for all was outstanding. We were very honoured and privileged to have known him at Holy Cross and to be our priest. His sudden death was heart-breaking still today. One was very glad to have met his family during their Sutton visit and seek to continue the friendship. RIP Fr. Paul in Heaven with God and Jesus and we look forward to meeting you one day. Fr. Paul will always be forever LOVED and will never be forgotten. Amen.

Fr. Paul you have been very instrumental in my life, when you came to lira diocese Uganda in 2017 i served you at mass and we became best of friends, you helped me finish my theological studies financially, you were very understanding, and a very good listener, you wanted very much to see me reach the holy alter, am very sad because death has taken the greatest gift God gave in my life. How I wished I could see you again, I believe one day I will see you in the after life, May God rest your soul in peace dear Fr. PaulLOBO family.

When it was announced that Fr. Paul could not say mass due to illness, I sincerely hoped that we would be able to see him soon after his recovery. However, the dear Lord knows best. He gives and He takes. Priest/people like Fr. Paul rarely come across our lives as they have a great gift and anointing for touching our hearts. I came across Fr. Paul through the live streaming and had a deep sense of peace during his masses. Since the first lockdown, I have joined the services from Worcestershire. I share in your loss and I  join you in prayers for Fr. Paul and his family. He will surely rest in peace with God’s blessings.

I am saddened to hear of Fr Paul’s death. He gave my father the Last Rites, and celebrated the Tridentine Mass on occasion (even though it wasn’t his liturgical preference), a courageous thing to do given its (sadly ) controversial nature.  He was a tireless worker, especially in the field of prison ministry. May he rest in peace

Dear Fr Paul  having been at school together we managed to keep in touch  over the years and we attended your Ordination, nearly fifty years ago.  What it is to have a good friend who is a priest..   We visited you in your first parish at Clapham Park when you were involved in helping in preparations  for the summer fete.   We kept in contact when you were in Ecuador and when you returned you  joined us as Chaplain in Teams of Our Lady and  guided us at our meetings. When you were posted to Holy Cross, Carshalton, you became Chaplain to the Knights of St Columba, Council 237 offering Mass and a meditation at the meeting in the Hall afterwards.  You, with the parish, welcomed the 11th Wallington Scouts for regular Church Parades at Holy Cross Church and encouraged the cake sales for the parish charities.  You made sure that no cakes were left over!   You often mentioned your time in Scouts.   You continued to support the Teams of Our Lady in organising and providing an opportunity for all married couples to Renew their Marriage Vows at a Mass during National Marriage week.  Perhaps we took advantage of your good nature but you never refused requests.  Nothing was too much trouble. You will be missed by so many.  May you  Rest in Peace.

We were so very sorry to heat the sad news of the death of Fr Paul. He was a dearly loved parish priest and a sincere and holy pastor. May he rest in peace and may perpetual light shine upon him. Our condolences to his family,

===================================================

Just heard of this sad news. My family and I are so saddened. He was such a gentle and caring man who seemed to quietly know everyone in the congregation. He slotted the baptism of my children, even with no space in his diary because he felt it was important. That I will never forget. Always willing to help in different ways. So humble and generous with his time to listen to any issues. You will be greatly missed. RIP 🙏

It’s still hard to believe that Father Paul, who welcomed us so warmly to the parish, married my wife and I and baptised both of our children over the past five years, is no longer with us. He was kind, gentle, articulate and wonderful with the kids; his creative ‘Wheels on the Bus’ renditions brought joy to so many on a weekly basis. I never even knew about his impressive work in Ecuador until now. I hope he knew how much he meant to people. May he rest in peace in heaven.

I was so deeply saddened to hear about the passing of Fr Paul. He made such a difference to our community and individual lives. I first met Fr Paul when my father passed away. I was struck by his love, compassion and humility – he helped me get through a really difficult time. Fr Paul has been involved in our lives ever since with the baptism and 1st Holy Communion of our son. When my mother passed away a few days ago from Covid, it was Fr Paul that I wanted to speak to the most. Thank you Fr Paul for everything you have done. You will be missed so much by so many. Bless you and rest in peace. My deepest condolences to Fr Paul’s family.

I was very shocked to hear the sad news of Rev Father Paul’s death. I didn’t know him for long as I moved to another parish not long after his arrival. He was a good friend to my mother Yvonne and my sister Sharon and would share a quiet laugh with them. He was a quiet unassuming man, always humble and softly spoken. He did what he had to do to help those in need and in the line of duty. A true priest.  Thank you for your constant attention, work and dedication. You will be missed. May you RIP in the arms of angels and let perpetual light shine on you.

God bless love Gail Whitely x

I only ever met Fr. Paul through the streamed Masses. He was excellent looking after his new digital parish,. I loved him talking to the children and reaching out to them not with a dry message but his own versions of The Wheels on the Bus! Lovely, with great humanity. RIP Father Paul.

Dearest Father Paul,

A gentle and kind individual. Your compassion and humanity for those less fortunate was well known. You had a special affinity with children always and will be remembered for The Wheels on the Bus. God called you to his home and we never got to thank you for your humility. May you rest in peace Fr Paul.

There is nothing I can add to the tender eloquence expressed by so many people already. I can only add that I miss him awfully, and that his will indeed be big shoes to fill by his successor. Size 14 to be precise!

===================================================

Father Paul was a much loved and respected volunteer member of HMP High Down’s Chaplaincy Team. As a fellow volunteer I was privileged to know him from his weekly visits on Thursday afternoons when we often had coffee  ( and his favourite chocolates biscuits!) together before he went to visit men around the prison. He had a huge heart for the Christian pastoral care of all and was often affectionately asked for by name as his visits were deeply appreciated. He will be greatly missed by all in the prison who knew him but we rejoice that he is now enjoying his heavenly home in the presence of his Lord and Saviour.

We were so sad to read that Father Paul had passed away. Our extended family owe him so much in so many ways. His humility, holiness and sense of service to his parishioners was an example to us all. He was, quite simply, a wonderful priest. Father Paul had gone above and beyond in his service to the Catholic community in Carshalton throughout the current pandemic, and his live on-line Masses were hugely appreciated by so many parishioners and adopted parishioners alike. Mass will be said for the safe and happy repose of his soul at St. Bartholomew’s Norbury in coming days. Requiescat in pace.

Fr Paul  Sanders Polite, Soft-spoken. A man of few words who let his actions do the talking. In 2014 at our house  blessing when Fr Paul perchance let slip that he periodically  admitted a homeless man into the Presbytery for a hot shower and a bite, it instantly highlighted the unquestionable generosity he displayed which knew no bounds and that he was a rarity indeed. He embodied the spirit of a missionary through and through and truly  practiced what he preached. Casting aside his personal vulnerability and refusing to allow convention to colour his behaviour. An admirable personality….selflessness and kindness personified. Also noteworthy was his striking  simplicity and those  divine qualities of humility and modesty he was abundantly blessed with and now emerges the measure of the man  that he was. Rest In Peace, Fr Paul. God finally claimed you as His  very own.

You will always be remembered with much fondness by the Mendonsas

My mother and I are very sorry and shocked to hear about the death of Father Paul Sanders. He was a  good man and caring Priest. My mother Yvonne used to accompany him to Brixton Prison.  We miss the many happy talks we had about literature. He was a good friend to us. He will always be in our prayers. Rest in peace Father Paul

Indira and I followed online The moving requiem for the repose of the soul of Fr Paul. We could imagine Fr Paul In the pew leading the Rosary before Mass.  Although we had not met Fr Paul in person, he was a daily visitor to our home as we followed Mass online. Our prayers are for the repose of the soul of Fr Paul,  Our prayers are also for Fr Luke and Fr Philip. Our thanks to Fr Philip for his ministry to the sick and dying and in particular for being with Fr Paul in the last moments of his mortal life.

May God bless you Fr Paul. It was a privilage knowing you; you have touched so many lives. You were always there for my family and I.  We will forever miss you. But one thing I do know is that  you are in a better place. A true man of God as it written in Matthew 25:34-36  “Then the King will say to the people on his right, ‘Come, you that are blessed by my Father! Come and possess the kingdom which has been prepared for you ever since the creation of the world. 35I was hungry and you fed me, thirsty and you gave me a drink; I was a stranger and you received me in your homes, 36naked and you clothed me; I was sick and you took care of me, in prison and you visited me.” May your soul rest in peace

===================================================

Dear Fr Paul, such a shock when we heard the news of your passing we were all praying for your recovery. I will remember your enthusiasm for the children and the youth group we started. You said yes to all our ideas and wanted to make it a success which it was. Also with Confirmation, you would put the young people at ease with your sense of humour and was always ready to answer any questions they may have had. Your heart was for the marginalised and poor and although we didn’t always see eye to eye in the details of this I respected you for your heart. Rest in Peace Fr Paul, pray for us as we pray for you and be rewarded for your great service. God bless you,

Jo and Robert Casey.

Like many families Fr Paul has contributed in many ways to our journey. We met Father Paul not long after he returned from the missions, just before we were married, he helped us prepare for our marriage in Ireland and also for the baptism of our first son also in Ireland, he then christened our youngest son. I have so many fond memories of chats with Fr Paul at the Vintage Club which he invited myself a lovely neighbour to join with our new babies……we had the best craic at the Irish table sharing tea, biscuits and if we were lucky a lovely cooked lunch now and again. Our last family memory of Fr Paul is from this Christmas Eve and our sons handing him gifts, he towered over them both offering kind thanks and as always that biggest of heartfelt smiles. And least we forget, his many many versions of the wheels on the bus, we’ve never listened to that song the same way since nor will again. A great loss to the parish and beyond. Rest in Peace lovely Father Paul

Rest in Peace Father Paul- you will be much missed in the Carshalton community. Your kindness to Gary over the years until his tragic death was a testament to the person you were. Not judgemental, just a warm humble man of God. I used to enjoy our chats after the Walk of Witness over a hot cross bun at All Saints!

It was a pleasure to know Fr Paul. As many others have said, he was always so gentle and kind and always waved goodbye to the children as we left mass. He will be sadly missed.

The loss of Fr Paul is great. When I was lay chaplain of St Philomena’s School, I experienced his weekly celebration of Mass in our chapel as central to the spiritual life of the school. He was always calm, quiet, considerate , kind and deeply spiritual. I remember him speaking with great empathy of his work with prisoners. He was concerned to bring literature to those who found it difficult to access. I think there was more than one student at St Philomena’s who referred to him as St Paul. May he rest in peace and rise in glory.

I am very sad to hear of the passing of Fr Paul. I feel very lucky to have served on the alter for him for many years, even when it involved making sure no child burnt themselves or swung off of the flowers when he invited all the children up to say the Lord’s Prayer! He was a beautiful man, adored by everyone he met and he had a brilliant sense of humour. Rest in perfect peace Fr Paul, you will be truly missed.

The Children Staff and Governors of St Mary’s Catholic Federation learnt with great sadness that Father Paul had passed away on Friday night.  There will be a tall quiet void in the life of our school. We have all become so used to seeing him on the playground surrounded by happy children. At Mass he was determined to make the service come alive for them and they all looked forward to their time on the Altar with him. Father Paul was a Governor at St Mary’s and spiritual advisor. You will be much missed but never forgotten. Please rest in peace with the Lord.

Thank you,  Fr Paul,  for teaching us the true meaning of the corporal and spiritual works of mercy by living them out yourself so  fully near and far;  you saw a special light in everybody. PSALM 34:18 ‘The LORD is close to the broken hearted , he rescues those whose spirits are crushed ‘. It is with a very heavy heart I write this tribute to our beloved Father Paul, who will always be fondly remembered for his kindness, humility, selflessness, soft spoken nature and above all for the warmth and the love that exuded from him to everyone around. I feel so blessed to have know  Father Paul for almost 10 years and to have had him  as a part and parcel  of our family. We have had the opportunity of having him  over on several occasions and we certainly reminisce the pleasant & happy times spent together and all I can say of this noble human.. is that he radiated such goodness and depicted Christ in every sense of the word. Father Paul ,having you as a parish priest at Holy Cross, taught me so much. you were a very good role model to us and was  dedicated to your mission  and followed the teachings of the church with such precision and honour. You greeted and welcomed everyone with a smile.  Not once you refused me confession whatever time of the day it was. Also, you never failed at the end of each mass  to    wish everyone well and a good day. You were loved by everyone young and old alike. You will be greatly missed and fondly remembered  !! It comforts me to know that you are in God’s care and your legacy lives on.

FOREVER IN OUR HEARTS .WE MISS YOU AND LOVE YOU OUR DEAREST FATHER PAUL.

Thank you for being a father , a brother and a priest to me when I was in Ecuador… I will always pray for you. You’re a hero of the church . Fr Ruel.

===================================================

Dear Fr Paul, Echoing the many voices that have left tributes, you were such a kind, gentle and humble man; a true example of a dedicated parish priest and you will leave an enormous void in the parish. Although you did not always say the 8am mass I usually attend, you would always be present at the end of the service to offer a greeting as we left the church.  And I too remember with fondness your ‘wheels on the bus’ renditions at the 9.30am mass on the occasions I took my grandchildren to mass. Rest in peace dear Fr Paul and may your family, friends and parishioners be comforted by the many beautiful tributes that are being expressed in this book of remembrance.

I share the shock and the sympathy that so many have expressed at the death of our beloved Fr Paul Sanders.  I worked in El Recreo when Fr Paul arrived in Ecuador.  We became close friends.  For several summers Fr Paul would spend a month of vacation/mission preaching with me in Oregon.  May he rest in the Lord.

Dear Fr. Paul, as you go before Almighty God you go with all the confessions you heard, masses you offered, prisoners that you visited, sick that you comforted and children to whom you taught the truth of the faith to.  May Almighty God bestow on you the reward for the Good and Faithful Servant and may your sins be covered up by the merits of Our Lord Jesus Christ, Whom you held in your hand each morning at Holy Mass. Truly Fr. Paul you were a model priest; always willing to hear confessions, simple in your advice, pious before the Blessed Sacrament and welcoming to anyone who knocked at your door. You will be sorely missed by all your parishioners, and by me. Thank you for your help as I journeyed to the priesthood; for visiting me at seminary, for offering me books, for receiving me into your home to talk whenever I needed to, and for keeping in contact over the years since ordination.

Your sacrifice is now complete, may the Lord accept it, may you pass through purgatory speedily and enjoy the beatific vision, and the company of the saints. Pray for us.

It’s very moving to read those incredible tributes to Fr. Paul. How sincere and heartfelt each one is. Paul has always been totally dedicated to his parishioners, with an extra special place in his heart for the most vulnerable and needy in the world. It was a great joy for me to welcome him to Ecuador, as a fellow diocesan priest, and to have him stay in the parish in Guasmo, briefly, before he took up his appointment in Duran – both areas well known in Guayaquil to be extremely poor (and dangerous). As you can imagine, Paul felt very much at home in this setting, and was as greatly loved by the priests and people there as he has been in Southwark. His commitment, generosity, warmth, gentleness, love and compassion most certainly radiated the love of God for all, without exception. No wonder we have been so touched and enriched from knowing him and working with him. Thank you Paul – may you rest in peace and rise in glory..

===================================================

A departure at death brings us the greatest sadness like that of Fr. Paul whom we loved and with whom we physically lived. We can never make death beautiful by dressing up the corpse in silk or surrounding it with flowers. Not all the preaching since Adam has made death other than death. Fr. Paul Sanders was physically with us to practically demonstrate: humility/simplicity/generosity/hard work/availability/commitment in prayer life etc and now with his death all has become sour. We are somehow put off balance and pray that through the gift of the Holy Spirit pieces would come together again soon.

However, the fact it has is that: it is as natural to die as to be born. Words that are more consoling and more enduring comes from the Lord Jesus Christ ” I am the resurrection, ” He says, ” If anyone believes in me, even though he dies, he will live” (John 11:25) Belief in the resurrection is not an appendage to the  Christian faith; it is the Christian faith. At death what is destroyed is of only passing value and what will be transformed through resurrection is of surpassing value. Our beloved Father Paul Sanders, what we know about you is that; you were a believer, kept the faith practically as a priest-your relationship with God, you shared in the sufferings of Christ by means of your own sufferings in life. and finally you have shared in the death of Christ by physically dying. Therefore, you have a share in the risen life of Jesus Christ.

The beauty of the mass we celebrate is that we recall and represent the death of Christ which broke the bonds of our own death, we Celebrate his rising victorious from his tomb, thus enabling us to share in his resurrection into eternal life.

Bye bye Fr. Paul Sanders-keep the smile-pray for us too and see you over there.

Fr. Desi

You will be greatly missed because you were only doing your job as God’s work and we never knew you will go so soon. Rest in peace Fr Paul🙏🏾 We are not a parish of your church but had visited sometimes.

Dear Father Paul After a lifetime of faithful service to the Lord, you have been called to rest with Him. The people of Holy Cross parish will miss your kindness and gentle manner. You worked so hard for us never thinking of your own needs.  We will hold your memory in our hearts.

RIP Fr. Paul, you were such a large part of our families spiritual life, with our son’s baptism and our son and daughter’s Holy Communions. A wonderful Parish Priest always welcoming, particularly with the young children. You will be greatly missed.

You will be missed so much Father Paul, for your calm and kind nature, your patience, your help to everybody from the Community. I remember when Iona, Isla and I first came to your Church when we moved to Carshalton and you welcomed us with a big smile which I will never forget. Even though we didn’t speak much, we knew each other well and every Sunday after Mass you will be there at the door smiling to us. May your soul rest in peace. God bless

Our deepest sadness of the passing of Fr Paul. Thank you for serving 4 generations of the MacAree family. God bless

===================================================

We are so sad to hear of your passing, Father. You were such a kind man and did so much for us, your parishioners.  When Archie and Grace were small and we attended the children’s mass you did everything you could to make them and all the children feel involved. Not many priests would invite hordes of children up at the altar… but you did! You were kind and patient with them and made them all feel involved in the mass. As the children grew older you were a great spiritual guide (with a great sense of humour!) and we are grateful that Archie was able to take his Confirmation with you recently.  We will always remember you fondly…May you rest in peace.

Dear Fr. Paul, when I heard that you were down with the virus, I thought you would recover. We offered Masses for you in our parish, St. Elphege Catholic Church, Wallington, and encouraged parishioners to remember you in their private prayers. I was surprised when your brother called me and, asked if I could visit you because your health had taken a sharp downward turn. I obliged immediately. For me, it was a privilege to be with a brother at such a moment. It was a very touching but sublime experience that I love to treasure. I know that you are with the Lord, Whom you loved and served through His children, as a priest. You were a very wonderful, gentle, soft-spoken and warm priest. You will be sorely missed in Holy Cross Church, Carshalton. I pray God to grant the parishioners of Holy Cross and the members of your dear family the fortitude to bear this irreplaceable loss.

Fr. Paul has been taken from us whilst in the line of duty.  His commitment to service is unmeasurable.  His last mass was that testimony, weakened and unable to stand but still asserting the energy left in him to raise the bread of Christ whilst seated. We will miss him but also learn greatly from him the gift of serving Lord.

Fr Paul, it is unbelievable to be writing this. We always thought you’d pull through. We are all so devastated and heartbroken at your passing. You were, without question, the most humble and holy priest, a saint on Earth and we were so lucky and privileged to have you. What will we do without you now. You are irreplaceable and nothing will be the same. We loved and respected you but I’m sure we also took you for granted and thought you’d always be there. Your quiet unassuming manner gave us all such strength. Your unselfish deeds made us strive to be better. Your kindness, gentleness, love and warmth humbled us. You lived your life in Christ’s footsteps, caring for the poor and the sick and championing the downtrodden. Your ministry will live on in us as you were a great teacher.  We will miss you so much. May you rest in peace with our Celestial Mother, Heavenly Father and all the angels and saints. We will pray for you and you will be in our thoughts and prayers forever.

We all hoped you’d pull through ! life can be so unfair you were a 1 off ..so humble and caring,, (not an easy hike each time up to High Down or Marsden) and a  wicked sense of humour … .it’s the children who are going to miss out now i’m afraid . Who can ever forget the scene with up to 50  very young children , some clasping their sibling’s hand , vying for a place on the alter steps, on each of the two occasions during the service, you’d invite all to come up and turning your back on assembled parents, proceed to tell them a  story followed by a “wheels on thebus”..rendition, . brilliant psychology.. hearts and minds ! Not another like youi’ll bet you’ll have lots of stories to relate when you  and Benjie meet up ! RIP

I first met Fr. Paul over 60 years ago when I lived in Banstead with my parents and brother Peter. Both our families attended St. Anne’s Church with Paul’s brother Christopher. My brother Peter and Fr. Paul were at St. John’s Seminary, Wonersh at the same time in the 1960’s. Paul’s support and dedication to the parish has been outstanding. Among many other commitments he supported the Catholic Chaplaincy at Downview and Highdown Prisons in Sutton. He was quiet, humble and a gentle person with  forward  thinking views.  Just before Christmas he wrote to me saying how he realised there were challenging times ahead for our Church and much evangelising work to do.  Also,  how important Jesus Christ is to the lives of  everyone and to the benefit of theworld . May he rest in peace.

I wasn’t in Fr. Paul’s parish but i attended the Sunday evening Mass at Holy Cross for a long time. And my daughter was baptised  there. I really felt I learnt something every Sunday from Fr. Paul. Father Paul was a major part of our spiritual life.  He baptised all 3 of our children and had performed the First Holy Communion for the eldest two.  His subtle humour, shy smile and friendly personality all aided in making him a wonderful priest and person.  The Wheels on the Bus will also make us think of him and smile! He will be greatly missed by us all and we keep him in our thoughts now he is at peace with our Lord.

I was privileged to meet Father Paul on a number of occasions and especially cherish the happy memories of my Godson’s christening at Holy Cross Church back in 2010. He always had such a kind and gentle manner with everyone he met. I can recall the smiles on the children’s faces when he invited them to gather around the altar to participate in the Mass, making them all feel special and very much part of the celebration of the Holy Eucharist. I have no doubt that the angels rejoiced in welcoming Father Paul home to his father’s heavenly kingdom and may he now pray for us all. Rest in peace Father Paul and may your soul be bathed in our Lord’s eternal light. Amen.

Father Paul was our Parish Priest at St Gertrude’s in South Croydon; we were truly blessed to have him in our Parish. He was a good, kind, gentle, honest and selfless man; a real example of a person who lived his life thinking only of others, with little time for himself. RIP Father Paul. A huge loss to our church, school and community. I’m so grateful to have had the privilege of knowing him as our beloved priest, that gave sacraments to all our children, and had the honour of serving with him as a eucharistic minister, on the Parish council and as a school governor at St Mary’s Infants and Junior School in Carshalton. He was an exceptionally intelligent, humble, hardworking and selfless man but it is his kindness that I will remember the most. May we all be more like him. We are terribly saddened by the sudden passing of Father Paul. He was very supportive in our children’s spiritual journey. From their baptism to their school references. Our children used to see him regularly both at Sunday’s mass and at school mass. He would often visit all the children in St Mary’s Catholic School and in St Philomena School. The children always love to see him and talk to him as he was very kind and gentle, with always a smile on his face. We will miss his presence so much at Holy Cross church. May his soul rest in peace.

May he rest in peace Our sympathy to all his family and all who knew him

Having just heard the very sad news I just wanted to express my deepest and heartfelt sympathies to the families of the late Fr. Paul Sanders, his immediate family, his parish family and his diocesan family and the many many people whose lives he has touched along the journey of his life.  I also extend my sympathies to his parish family of Parroquia Los Pastorcitos de Fatima in El Recreo, Duran, Ecuador.  Having succeeded Fr. Paul there in 2008 (he was the first Parish Priest of that parish) I came to know first hand just how powerfully, his gentle and faithful presence brought hope and healing to so many.  Please be assured of my prayers at this time and may his gentle soul rest now and always in the loving embrace of a merciful God.  Descansa en Paz hermano… Fr. We were all so heartbroken to hear the news of Father Paul this morning. He has not only been a wonderful Parish Priest, but an amazing friend to my family. I had the honour and privilege to altar serve by Father Paul’s side for many years. He would visit my former secondary school St.Philomena’s regularly to say mass and he would always take time to chat with me after mass.

What a humble and honourable man he was!

Father Paul, may your soul rest in peace. You will always be loved and never forgotten.

Praying for the repose of the soul of Fr Paul. I was so saddened to hear of his death. He was such a gentle and humble man who made such an impact on me, even when it was through brief meetings. He will be greatly missed by his parishioners. May he RIP and rise in Glory. I shall pray for him and am lighting a candle for him now.
